It is our pleasure to present the activities currently underway for the development of sport facilities, Olympic buildings and facilities and the road network essential for the XX Winter Olympic Games.
The “Agenzia Torino 2006” Olympic agency continues to play an increasingly key role in the exciting journey towards the hosting of the Olympic Games from February 11-26, 2006, and the Para Olympic Games from March 9-18, 2006.
Although small in terms of the number of staff, our agency is required to think big in terms of efficiency and productivity in order to handle the huge responsibility for the completion of projects either necessary to, or associated with, the Olympic event.
It is a responsibility that has placed us at the centre of attention from institutions, organisations and the media alike during these years in which all the work has been, and is being, carried out.
Starting with the need to communicate on-line by means of the following pages, we have chosen to provide a wealth of in-depth structured information to achieve the necessary level of transparency and immediacy regarding objectives and methods employed.
Only by doing so, can the management of a grand Olympic event truly stand out, and guarantee that Turin, Piedmont, and our country as a whole, gain real benefits from such an important occasion.
